Hmmm, this is just a little closer shot than the last one. You can tell that it is in April... just a few water plants. By mid-May, the pond is virtually covered with plants and flowers.
I built the little dock for my 'bear' fisherman one day out of some scrap wood I had in the garage, and a block of styrofoam. It just floats with the level of the pond like a real dock. We've got a pigeon that comes by everyday. He/she lands on the bridge, then walks across the bridge, around the pond, and down the little floating dock to the 'bear' fisherman. Then it takes a drink, walks back up the gangplank and flys away. I watched this every day. I guess it is one bird that likes to come down for a walk once in a while.
